Overlay Mosaic Square Pattern inspiration
Hooking Clubs are the fourth cards in the series included in the House of Cards Blanket mosaic overlay crochet pattern. With it’s trio of curves this overlay crochet square pattern took a moment to wrap my mind around and scale appropriately, but I think we got there in the end!
My initial plan for the House of Cards Blanket was to have 4 card layout, and if you decide to make a 4 card option this is one that you want to have! It helps to balance out the Hooking Spades Card in the overall blanket.
Mosaic crochet square pattern yarn & materials
To make my Hooking Clubs overlay mosaic crochet blanket squares I used Paintbox Simply Aran multiple times perfecting the various shapes. Sage, Paper White, Teal, Dark Teal and Racing Green were all used as they are in my two versions of the blanket.
Hooking Clubs overlay mosaic crochet pattern info & tips
Hooking Clubs are fairly easy to work up once you get going. With a similar start to the Hooking Spades card, the focus is on the trio curves in this overlay crochet square. With both the silhouette and solid versions of the square included below my personal preference is with the solid and this is definitely the easiest for a beginner or first time overlay mosaic crocheter. As with all the other squares in the blanket, each square can be used individually or in a combination to create a mosaic crochet blanket pattern with charts for both versions available free to view below.
