Hello! I am so excited to share my newest design here at Me n My Hook! I wanted to create a quick, fun project that would be sure to garner lots of compliments, and I am happy to report that the Happenin’ Headbanda does exactly that! My daughter wore my design sample to work last year and everybody told her how cute she looked that day ☺
I used 3 strands of #10 cotton thread held together, and my choice was due to 2 reasons:
- I tried using DK cotton but it was looking too fuzzy
- I have had those 3 balls of #10 thread in my stash for years and could never come up with a purpose for them
I am absolutely thrilled with the end result. This project works up fairly quickly and is super fun to make. Plus you will be sure to receive lots of compliments when you wear it!

Crochet Headband Pattern – Meet the Designer, Malena – Straight Hooked

I am Malena, and I live in Colorado with my hubby, daughter and 2 Shih Tzus. My main focus is designing fashionable accessories for the modern trendsetter such as yourself, but I do occasionally mix it up with a blanket or something. My daughter is an extremely talented ami designer, and on rare occasions she publishes a new pattern on my blog. (She is in her early 20s and her life does not yet revolve around yarn like mine does!) All Straight Hooked patterns are sold exclusively on my website, www.straighthooked.com I also have a few free patterns available on the blog, with more coming soon!
