Looking for an interesting crochet project that involves colour, texture and allows you to reflect? The In The Mood CAL is a collaborative crochet along in the style of a temperature blanket, but with moods. Read on to find out more about the pattern and how you can record your moods in a crochet project.
In the Mood Project Crochet Along Inspiration
2023 was a year – was it like that for you? Coming into the new year I really felt a need to get back to doing things for myself and improving my overall attitude and mood and that is how the idea for the In the Mood Project Crochet Along began.
It’s so hard to take time for yourself, fill your own cup and just be. As people we have alot of things to deal with and process but we don’t always allow ourselves to do that – that is where this easy free mood project crochet along comes in.
The In the Mood Project is a space or place to do just that AND express yourself with stitches making a truly unique crochet project. Using a mixture of textured stitches, you will create a unique crochet project that emphasises the positive, and embraces the negative.
What is a Mood Project?
Have you ever seen a crochet temperature project CAL? Same thing, but instead of using temperature and colours to determine what happens next in your project we will be using crochet stitches that represent our moods.
I’ve never taken part in a CAL before what is a CAL?
A CAL is a Crochet A-long. This is a virtual event where sections of a crochet pattern are released over a specified period of time and ‘we’ crochet along together to make the same project. What makes the Mood Project Crochet Along unique is that it can be made in multiple or a single colour as the focus is on using different crochet stitches to create a unique crochet project that charts a year in time. The results will be full of texture but totally unique examples of a mood shawl crochet along or a mood blanket crochet along pattern.
