Confession.  I am a fan of mothers day.  I try to make it a bit of a special treat and give personal/cute gifts.  We are still going through the pandemic that shall not be named, ugh, and getting into stores or receiving deliveries of those special gifts for your mum, or that special woman in your life is getting harder to do.  That’s where we come in.

Every day in February, thanks to my designer friends, there will be at least one new pdf pattern download available, to help inspire your handmade gifts.

Each pattern will be available for 24hrs – be sure to bookmark this post so you can come back each day and grab your patterns!

YAY – It’s day 2 and today’s addition to the event is the Marian Bay Cocoon, by me. This simple cocoon reminds me of a chunky oversized cardigan that my mum knitted years ago, and when I thought of that cardigan it seemed rude not to include it. I love a cardi, and I know my mum does too so It seemed a great fit for gift ideas for mum.

Made with Aran weight yarn and a 7mm hook, this beginner cocoon cardigan has a simple repeating pattern and works up quickly.
