Adira winged triangle shawl inspiration
Adira is inspired by the Ana Mae design from my book It’s A Wrap with some tweaks. Sometimes I get ideas on how to tweak or combine designs while working on a project and this was one of those times. I loved the ease of working on Ana Mae and how quickly it worked up, but I also liked the idea of making some changes to it whilst working on the designs for Summer Shawls.
The name Adira, comes from Hebrew and means ‘noble and powerful’ continuing the theme of female names that mean strength and or powerful
Adira shawl yarn & materials
To make Adira Shawls I used 2 different colourways from Crochet UK – Warwick and Southsea. Both 1000m 4ply cakes and of course my trusty 4mm hook. I used what I already had at home to make this design, partly because that’s what I’ve been doing but also because I love these colours and definitely want to keep and wear both version of this shawl. However, I think this beginner triangle shawl pattern would work well in any colour and I am interested to see what it would look like in a multicoloured version.
